What's Parkinsons?

People with Parkinson's don't have enough of a chemical called Dopamine, because some nerve cells in their brain have died.

Without it people can find that their movements become slower so it takes longer to do things. A lack of co-ordination can also be a problem.

Welcome

We are a friendly group of around 30+ people, offering a way to share advice, give and take help and develop friendship.

No one in Ashbourne has to face Parkinsons alone.

We try to make our meetings interesting, with speakers, music, slide shows, displays etc. And of course we all enjoy our trips and meals out, and just being sociable in the comfortable Community Room at Town Head.

See our Events page.
